About Us

The Junior Humane Society is a non-profit, all volunteer, animal rescue group. For over 30 years, we have helped animals in the Gulf Coast area.

All animals waiting for adoption are placed in foster homes. Before placing the animal in a furever home, JHS provides all necessary vet care, including but not limited to: shots, spaying, and neutering.

We hold adoption events every Saturday at PetSmart in Pensacola, FL from 12-4. Throughout the year, we will participate in other adoption events and/or fundraising events, too.

Featured Pet

Mr. Big (or Biggie Smalls; he's a dog with many names) is a 1 year old Shepherd mix. He is neutered and up to date on shots. Mr. Big came to the rescue after being abandoned and tied to a lamp post in our director's front yard during a bad storm. Big is good with other dogs and loves kids! He also enjoys playing fetch and playing in the water! Big can be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly. Mr. Big would love to find his forever home!

If you interested in fostering or adopting Mr. Big, please contact Frankie at 850-968-3260 or FrankieGone2Dogs@aol.com
